She delivered a healthy calf on April 15 at the Animal Adventure Park. He was named Tajiri, which means “hope” in Swahili.
The world waited in anticipation as the giraffe’s due date drew closer, looking for clues of the impending delivery. The entire event was streamed live online, and folks at home got to see the baby make his grand entrance into the world over two months past his due date.
Now, the mom and her baby are living peacefully in the park, located in Harpursville, New York.
Animal Adventure Park owner Jordan Patch appeared on Good Morning America on November 9, 2017, and could neither confirm nor deny the rumors, fueling the speculation that another little one was on the way.
Though the reports have yet to be confirmed, one thing is for sure: the world is ready to watch April deliver another baby! The live stream of her delivery was immensely successful, and it’s certain that people would keep an eye on a second live feed.
