Man Found This Baby Otter Crying For Help On The Beach, But What Follows Defied All Odds…

An expert from the Monterey Bay Aquarium was taking a walk on the beach by his house, when he heard a desperate cry coming from the surf. He rushed to investigate and found a baby otter, all alone.  He picked up the otter and went up and down the beach, searching desperately for the baby’s mother, hoping its cries would draw her back. When that didn’t work, he took matters into his own hands.

This baby otter was recently found alone and crying for help in the surf.

Her rescuer suspected that she had become separated from her mother. He carried her up and down the beach, hoping her cries would attract her family, but to no avail.

He then took the 4-week-old pup to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

They were able to stabilize the traumatized otter, but they needed to find a permanent home for her if she was to survive.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium has a surrogate program where adult otters raise orphans like this one, preparing them for re-release, but there were no adult otters available to take this little one on.

Luckily, the nearby Shedd Aquarium nearby had plenty of room for the growing pup!

Before long, the little tyke began to show her frisky, sweet personality.

She quickly learned to get comfortable around her handlers.

She was a natural swimmer, of course.

And soon, she really came out of her shell.

So sweet.

Have you ever seen an animal so happy?

You just want to squeeze her…

Her current name is actually Pup 719.

But the staff aquarium is currently thinking of a new, cuter name.

I think they should call her, Cutest Otter Ever.

I am so glad that her story had a happy ending! If that poor little one had been left on her own, I shudder to think about what would have happened.
