A Boar Piglet Was Wandering Alone Until He Found A Family In A Herd Of Cows

Farmers in Goettingen, Germany, believe their cows have adopted a baby wild boar.

The piglet has been seen wandering between the legs of the cows for weeks, with no other wild boar in sight.

“I spotted the little fellow about two weeks ago,” 16-year old Jakob Kraft told NBC News from his family’s farm near the German town of Goettingen. “We thought it was quite funny that the little boar was mingling among the cows on our meadow.”

Kraft said that his family has seen the cows gently push the tiny boar with their heads.

“I think they like him,” he added.

The family decided to named the boar Johann, but no one has been closer than three feet to the wild animal so far.

“When we bring the herd back into the stables at the end of the month, we will see if the piglet tags along or if it goes back into the woods.”
