A story posted to Facebook about a stray dog has captured the hearts of readers everywhere. After 10 neglectful and abusive years on the streets of Los Angeles, the Poodle was rescued just in time by Synergy Animal Rescue out of San Diego.
After 10 years on the streets, Amaze-Bobb was brought to Synergy Animal Rescue looking like this.
Homeless people had looked over Bobb, but there was only so much they could do. As Poodles need constant grooming, the vets could tell he’d gone about 10 years without a haircut.
After they chopped the mangy fur off, they were horrified. The hair had cut off circulation to two of his legs which he self-amputated in order to survive.
The few teeth he had left were rotting. Eventually all but four were removed because of infection.
He was given lots of care and a couple agreed to foster him.
The couple absolutely fell in love with Amaze-Bobb.
He got along extremely well with their Huskies and cats.
And after a few weeks, his fur started growing back!
Although they loved the dog, they knew it would only be a foster situation as they had to move out of state soon.
Bobb went back to Synergy where he helped kids with special needs in hope of inspiring them.
But Bobb was about to get some good news. His foster parents, Nate and Megan, decided to adopt him when they got all settled in to their new place!
Amaze-Bobb finally had a place to call home. 🙂
On June 29, 2015, Bobb made the flight with his parents to his forever home.
They were happy that he remembered them and was happy to see them upon arrival.
Here he is reunited with his Husky brothers. 🙂
They post Bobb’s adventures on Facebook getting the dog lots of new friends.
He had come a long way from the days of living on the streets.
Those days were now far behind him and his quality of life amazing.
Doesn’t he look happy?
It’s hard to believe it’s even the same dog! Amazing what a little love can do…
Such a tremendous story of dedication and recovery that deserves to be seen by as many people as possible. What an amazing new life for Amaze-Bobb!
