Cruel Man Is Seen On Security Camera Dumping Sick Puppies

Pablo and Penny (then called Pippin and Perdy) were only a few weeks old when a man put them in a bag, brought them to a random neighborhood around 9 at night…

…and dumped them over a wall and into someone’s garden. The puppies were abandoned in the freezing cold as if they were nothing but trash. When they were discovered around 2:45 a.m. and quickly taken in by the RSPCA.

“The CCTV clearly shows a man walk past and then stop, before holding a carrier bag over the wall and tipping it out into the garden,” Sally Bamforth, an inspector with the RSPCA, said in a press release. “Then as he walks away, he pauses as the two tiny, disorientated puppies appear from underneath a bush and potter across the lawn. They must have been freezing and it’s a miracle that they survived until they were discovered.”

Rescuers came to collect the two tiny siblings and were shocked by what terrible condition they were already in at only a few weeks old. They both had awful skin infections which had caused them to go almost completely bald and they needed immediate medical attention.

The hospital said it took weeks and weeks of intense treatment to finally get the pups completely healed…

…and once they were all better, they looked like completely different dogs.

“To abandon any animal is cruel but to dump these tiny, vulnerable puppies like this is just unspeakable; watching the footage is heartbreaking, anything could have happened to these little pups,” Bamforth said. “I’d like to say a huge thank you to those people who found them and called us so we could get them to a vet.”

Pablo and Penny were the sweetest little dogs despite everything they’d already been through at such a young age. Their rescuers knew it wouldn’t be long before they both found the perfect forever homes. Penny was actually being fostered by someone who works at the RSPCA and when it came time to put her up for adoption, she decided she just couldn’t let the adorable little dog go.

“I took her on as a foster in December and honestly had no intention of keeping her,” Sarah Aspinall said in a press release. “I was fully prepared to help her and then ensure she found a great forever home. But when people started ringing to enquire about rehoming her I realized I couldn’t do it — I couldn’t give her away! She was so happy, she loves my other dogs and I couldn’t split them up.”

Penny now loves her life with her new family and has come a long way from the tiny, hairless puppy she was when she was so cruelly abandoned. Her brother Pablo has also found his forever home and is living out his happily ever after. Everyone who knew the little pups is thrilled for them and their new, wonderful lives.

“We wanted Pablo after reading his story; we knew we wanted to give him the best possible home and future after his traumatic start in life,” Mhairi Brown, Pablo’s new owner, said in a press release. “He has made himself very much at home and is really a character. He makes us laugh every day with his cheeky antics.”
