Due to the destruction of their natural habitat and the viciousness of poachers, the Siberian tiger is in danger of going extinct… and The Oasis of The Siberian Tiger in Senec, Slovakia is trying to help. The oasis was opened in 1999, and is home to 28 tigers… and a few special friends.
The Siberian tiger’s natural habitat is in danger from natural and man-made causes.
Yveta Irsova founded the Oasis in 1999, and it is now home to twenty eight tigers… and three German Shepherds!
The dogs are actually excellent playmates, and get along with the tigers better than you’d think.
When a visitor to the Oasis brought her dogs along with her, she was shocked to discover how quickly they formed a bond with these big cats.
Once the Oasis officials and the dogs’ owner realized how much these animals adored each other, they promised to keep coming back for visits…
… and they haven’t stopped since!
Watch them play together… they’re just so cute!
