Unique animals are discovered every day. This Lykoi cat, also known as the “werewolf cat,” is a recent discovery.
A genetic mutation is a reason Werewolf cats get their distinct appearance.
Their official name is “Lyk0i” which comes from the Greek word meaning “wolf cat.”
The breed had its first litter was born in 2010.
Lykois are more like dogs and more playful than your average kitty!
Because of their genetic mutation, they have “werewolf-like” characteristics.
This mutation also keeps them from growing a full, thick coat of fur.
A Lykoi cat is easily identified by the lack of hair around its eyes and mouth.
Most of these cats have patchy coats, however, some are completely bald.
They even have webbed feet!
They look a bit different…
…but they’re actually perfectly healthy.
They are incredibly loyal cats.
And make perfect pets!
They are normally good-natured and laid-back.
Werewolf cat on the prowl!
They may look terrifying, but they’re very gentle.
We are not sure how they behave during the full moon…
This animal is a fascinating mixture of cute and creepy.
